Health and Safety performance is paramount importance within the company. Source Civil is totally committed to continuous improvement of safety standards and performance.
Source Civil has achieved Safe-T Cert accreditation, and through this we have developed our own Health and Safety Management System and Procedures which promote the development of safe practices across all company operations. Through regular and ongoing review and auditing procedures, the company strives for continuous improvement in all operations.
The training requirements of all staff and operatives/subcontractors are regularly reviewed and maintained. A tailored training programme has been implemented and maintained by the company to meet all training requirements. All site management staff have completed the IOSH approved Managing Safety in Construction (MSIC) course organised by the CIF.
It is the belief of the company that everyone has a role in ensuring the safety of ourselves and others and that all accidents are preventable. With this in mind we believe it is vitally important that we consider and employ the safe way of carrying out our activities regardless of what they are.
The message to our staff is that, the fact they start their day with full PPE in place, complements the ongoing proactive and extensive collaboration and communication within their team and within the company as a whole.
Our management team are committed to coaching and mentoring our colleagues. All of our safety gear and signs have images to clearly display the PPE requirements regardless of the spoken language of those using it. This provides another opportunity to further embed our key safety messages in all of our projects for our entire team.
Source Civil are dedicated to achieving the highest possible standards of Health & Safety, from design to construction, commissioning and handover – our safety processes ensure adequate coordination and communication to enable our projects to be constructed safely.
Our team understand that by sticking to the safe coordinated plan we can guarantee that our team get home safely to their families at the end of every day.
Source Civil Ltd are committed to delivering all our services in a way which ensures that the health, safety and welfare of our employees, clients, supply chain partners and the general public is maintained at all times.
We regard health and safety as our highest priority and as such we operate a stringent health and safety management system which is 3rd party accredited by the Northern Ireland Construction Employers Federation (CEF) to current Safe-T-Cert standards. Safe-T-Cert is recognised under the ‘Buildsafe’ initiative in Northern Ireland and the ‘Construction Safety Partnership’ in the Republic of Ireland.
Sate-T-Cert is also a member of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP).
We invest heavily in health and safety training which ensures that all employees possess the competence and ability to perform their tasks in line with current legislation, standards and best practice. This training specifically includes a Behavioural Safety approach based on a partnership between management and employees which continually focuses attention on the daily actions of employees and all of those around them. This helps promote a positive culture which we actively encourage and reward at all levels.
We fully understand the importance of Occupational Health in relation to the long-term wellbeing of our employees. We regularly monitor and control all activities which could have a detrimental impact on employee health and undertake a number of initiatives to maintain this including visits by the Action Cancer Big Bus.
