What we delivered

  • The AMS 11 project was a complex project undertaken in challenging ground conditions on a compact site whereby an existing industrial structure has been redeveloped into data center. These works were undertaken adjacent to a recently completed data centre which was live during the works. 
  • Project specifics below: – 
  • Cut out existing slab and cast new foundations for superstructure 
  • Cast internal fire walls. 
  • Install new fibre ducting utilising trench boxes and fibre chambers which required sheet piled temporary works due to depth and ground conditions. 
  • Sheet pile cofferdam structure, drill soil anchors, dredge and cast 1,000m3 underwater concrete slab for fuel tanks for Data Centre Emergency generators fuel storage tanks 
  • Cast 20,000m2 floor screed on 1st and 2nd floors

 Works Executed Underwater

  • Blind excavation and suction dredging to formation maintaining water levels 
  • Careful placement of stone blinding layer 
  • Disassembly of anchors and installation of plates (underwater diving works) 
  • Pouring of a 650m3concrete plug underwater to seal the base of the excavation
  • Pumping down water over a controlled period
