OVERVIEW
Source Civil Ltd was appointed as the main contractor to carry out works to various sections of pipelines in county Kildare including 400mm ductile Iron and 180mm HDPE pipelines. Works included crossing the Grand canal twice. Source Civil was responsible for the roles of PSCS, PSDP, Designer and Main Contractor. The project
was carried out in two phases.

- Laying of the following SDR 17 PE100 Water main by means of both Open
- Cut and Horizontal Directional Drilling:
o 2.5km of 180mm dia – Allentown (HDD)
o 1.5km of 400mm dia Ductile Iron – Kilmeage - Traffic Management
- Replacement of the existing service pipes
- Construction of new chambers;
- Testing and sterilisation of the new water mains
- Reinstatement
