Source Civil Ltd was appointed as the main contractor to carry out works to the Boyle Scheme to rationalise the network as a result of an ongoing Boil Water Notice in Cavetown WTP the water from Rockingham SR (Service Reservoir) would be connected to the three online network SR’s by installing three sections of pipelines.

SUMMARY

  • Carry out site investigation & Traffic Management
  • Carry out a full topographical survey
  • Update the proposed route on the Indicative Design Drawings
  • Design connection details and thrust block/walls
  • Produce a Design Risk Assessment (DRA)
  • Carry out Value Engineering Workshops to minimise costs to client
  • Laying of the following SDR 17 Water main by means Open cut and HDD:
    2.6km of 180mm dia Carrickmore to Plains (Field)
    1km of 180mm dia Cavetown WTP to N56 (Road)
    1km of 180mm dia Knockrush (Road)
  • Construction of a 30m2 pumping station
  • Mechanical & Electrical fit out of duty / standby pumps capable of
    delivering 62.14m 3 /hour
  • Form 4 panels throughout
    MEICA design and installation incl Installation of Surge Vessel
  • Surge Analysis of pipeline
  • SCADA & Radio network communications to four separate reservoirs
    namely Carrickmore pumphouse, Plains reservoir, Ballymore Reservoir &
    Croghan reservoir.
  • Construction of new chambers
  • Testing Reinstatement & reinstatement of the new water
